Chow Tai Fook official e-commerce flagship store opens on Suning Egou
Well known jewelery brand Chow Tai Fook has now opened an e-commerce channel at Suning Egou, which holds a market share of 2.4% in the Chinese online retail market. A lot of old brands are located in Beijing. Sunings' Executive vice president Houen Long said that they are trying to introduce 80% of them in their e-commerce store. So in the next two years, the products from another 1000 Beijing local brands should be available on Suning Egou.

知名珠宝首饰品牌周大福已于昨日入驻苏宁易购,并开设了官方旗舰店。苏宁华北地区总部执行副总裁侯恩龙透露,北京苏宁目前已就服装、百货、餐饮等北京市老字号企业的招商进行了初步的沟通,预计在2013年底前完成北京80%老字号品牌的引进。“另外我们还将力争在未来两年内引进1000家北京本地品牌。”

E-Commerce Group Buying Site Juhuasuan leads the market
Unique daily deal aggregator and analytics platform Dataotuan has released their 2012 Q2 report. The report states, that in the field of group buying, Juhuasuan accounts for 57.7% of product revenues. Interesting is, that Juhuasuan "only" holds a market share of 21.5%, followed by Meituan with 16.3% and 55tuan with 9.7%.

360Buy want to have a try with cloud storage services
The B2C e-commerce site secretly launched its “JBOX” in mid July. It has to be assumed that they don’t release the business to compete with other Chinese “Dropbox-clones” like Kanbox or Yunio. It is more likely that JBOX should strengthen the usage of 360buy’s ebook business and other digital services. Currently JBOX is only available to VIP and users of its ebook service.

Vipshop.com: net loss of $ 5.8 million year-on-year
Vipshop.com - a Chinese onlineshopping platform for luxury goods announced its unaudited financial results for the second Quarter. They had a good Q2 net revenue but due to the high costs the profit was bad. The report shows second quarter net revenues of $ 135.3 million, which is an increase of 233.5% over the same period last year. Vipshop.com is the only stock-listed private shopping platform in China.

Mercedes-Benz Selling A Car Every Three Seconds In Special Online Event On Tmall
Last night at 8:00 p.m., Mercedes-Benz has completed a limited pre-sale event on Tmall: In 2 hours and 30 minutes, all the available 398 cars were sold out. The first 200 cars were sold within the first 10 minutes, which is an average of one car sold every three seconds. Mercedes-Benz has created a buzz around the event on their social channels and by doing so managed to get 6000 potential customers. In addition to Mercedes-Benz, also Faw Vita, BMW X1 and Chevrolet SPARK are on Tmall.
